Understanding How to use Practice competition:

To make things really easy and smooth on the day of the competition, CFI has Practice Competition in place. Requesting all the contestants and Parents to kindly please go through the Practice Competition, so that there is no error or any kind of confusion on the day of the competition.

Requesting all the contestants and Parents to kindly make sure that you practice all the cubes you are participating as many times as required, till you get comfortable with the entire process.

Please make Sure that each and every contestants upload their respective profile pictures on the website before the competition, after logging in at https://www.cfi.in.net

Please note the Graphics team will be taking pictures of the winners, Including Top 5 Winners, Big Cube Trophy Winners from their uploaded profile picture, for making winners Banners. These banners are shared on the Social media Platforms @cficubing.

Understanding the Rules and Regulation:

Requesting all the contestants and Parents to kindly please go through, understand and follow the Rules and Regulation of the competition.

It will take 2 hours maximum for the actual competition. The time slot depends on the Group the contestant is put in.

Verifying the Cubes Participating in:

Please Note it takes 5 – 6 Working Days for the IT team to add the Cubes to your competition from the day of payment made and Snapshot of the payment Shared.

We Request each and every Contestants to kindly please verify, the number of Cubes you are participating is correctly reflecting on the website. Please login to the website https://www.cfi.in.net. Under the Heading My Competition Next to the Competition Name (SIST / MIST / GIST / WOIS) You will see the images of the cube you are participating in.

Please make sure that you have added / Updated your School / College / Corporate Entity Name. The GFX Team may use these names on the Certificates. So Please make sure you update them before the competition.

Learn to Scramble the Cube Correctly:

It is of utmost importance for the contestants to Scramble the cube correctly on the day of competition. Failing to Scramble the cube correctly in a proper format may get the contestants Disqualified. All the videos are also available in the video section of cfi.in.net.

For making sure that the competition goes Buttery Smooth, Every Contestants needs to understand and follow the below mentioned protocol:

Prerequisite For the Competition:

Please ensure the following things are in order, beforehand for the competition:

1. All the Cubes participating in
2. Fully Charged Laptop / Desktop with a working camera and working Mic (Please note Mobile phone / Tabs / IPad are strictly not allowed)
3. Zoom app installed on the laptop / Desktop
4. Good Working Headphones with mic
5. A very Good internet connection with seamless connectivity
6. A fall back 4G /5G Mobile internet connection
7. The Group Name, Timing and the Zoom meeting Credentials, must have been sent to each and every Contestants to their respective WhatsApp in Private or in our WhatsApp Group
8. Before joining the zoom meeting, The contestants have to make Sure their Name is properly displayed in the Zoom meeting, along with the CFI ID. Eg: Minal Shah – CFIMIS5835
9. Please make Sure you are already logged on to our website https://www.cfi.in.net
10. Zoom Credentials to connect has already been sent to your personal whatsapp number or in Our Whatsapp Group
11. Every Contestants have to make Sure that they will be using a Laptop / Desktop to login to the zoom meeting with the Credentials provided at the exact time mentioned according to the group they Belong to.
12. The Zoom meeting will be locked after 10 minutes, Absolutely No late comers will be entertained
13. Once inside the Zoom Meeting, Please make sure that the Mic is on Mute and Camera is always on
14. The Host will then call out the name of the contestant one by one: "John we are sending you to Breakout Room, please click on Join for your Breakout room invitation" Once you hear your name called, respond by saying "Present Sir / Maam" the host will send an invitation to join the Breakout Room, The Contestant needs to accepts the invitation by clicking on join they will be shifted to their Breakout Rooms. Please note, The contestants will get a prompt to join the Breakout room, They have to make Sure they click on Join
15. Once inside the Breakout Room, There will be a Moderator, who will take your Rounds. Please remember that the Moderators can be a contestants who is participating in the event just like you. You will be able to identify the Moderators, as their name will Begin with Moderators. Eg: Moderator John
16. Once inside the Breakout room, The Contestant have to wait for their turn. Once it is their Turn the contestants have to make sure they enable the Share Screen, so their timer from our website cfi.in.net on their screen is visible to the Moderators all the time.
17. The moderator will ask them to Click on "Start General Round" They need to click on the button and then they will select the name of the cube to be scrambled, Eg Scramble 3x3x3
18. The contestants select the cube Eg. 3x3x3, on the website from the drop down menu on the website.
19. The contestants will Scramble the cube, when the moderators asks them to do so, by looking at the Scrambling algorithm from the Screen and holding the Cube correctly Eg White center on Top Green Center in Front
20. The contestant have to make sure that the cube is visible in the camera frame of Moderators all the time. After Scrambling the cube the contestants will show the Scrambled cubes to the moderator. If the Scrambled cube is not matching as per the image shown on our website, the moderators will ask to do few Random moves. When the Moderators verifies the Scramble cube to their satisfaction and says start the Contestant, Press Space bar to start the timer on the website, a Reverse Timer of 15 Seconds get started for the contestants to analyse the Cube, If the contestants completes the analysis of the cube before 15 Seconds and they want to start, they hit the space bar to start the actual timer and start solving the cube.
21. Once the contestant is done solving the cube, they will click the space bar and stop the timer on the website, and say aloud with their name, "Minal 3x3x3 done" The Contestants has to make sure that the cube has to be constantly visible to the moderator the entire time while solving. In case the Cube goes out of Camera Frame the moderators can ask them to solve the entire cube again.
22. The contestants will show the completely solved cube to the moderator.
23. If the contestants are participating in more than one cube, The contestants will solve the remaining cubes they are participating in, one after the other, as instructed by the Moderators.
24. If there are Family members participating together and all of them has the same time slots, then they are assigned to the same Moderator, each Family members can solve 1 after the other using the same Laptop / Desktop
25. When the Contestants are done solving all the cubes, they will leave the Breakout with Moderators Permission. The Contestant clicks on Leave Breakout Room and comes back to the main zoom meeting room.
26. The Contestant can leave the zoom Meeting once the organizer's gives permission of leaving. Example: sir/ma'am this is Minal Shah I have completed all my cubes solve. can I leave?
27. Once the Organisers allows them they leave the meeting.
